WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING
As a working mother with her first child, I was looking for a daycare that offered something very specific, and yet very elusive. My 20-month-old daughter was “sensitive”, and I didn’t want her to spend her day in a large, loud, chaotic environment. I wanted an in-home daycare where she would be exposed to all age groups and would get one-on-one care from people who took the time to understand her needs. I also wanted a preschool element to her care. My employer offered a service that assembled contact information for 15 daycares in my area that fit my criteria. Dutifully, I called each one and set up appointments. But each one I visited was not quite right… this one had great energy and happy kids, but was filthy. The next one was clean with new toys, but the kids were out of control. And so it went, until the day I visited the last daycare on my list. I never thought of myself as overly picky, but this was my first child we were talking about… and I was pregnant with my second! I had to come to a decision soon.
Dejected, I took my daughter to Green Lake park, and watched her play in the sand area. Another mother sat next to me, and for some reason I started talking to her. I told her about my visit to the last daycare and wondered out loud what I was going to do. Her eyes lit up and she said, “I have the perfect place! We LOVE our daycare!” I took down the phone number for Cece’s Playhouse and called the next day.
When I arrived at Cece’s, I couldn’t believe it. Here it was! THIS was what I had been envisioning! And all these years later, long after both my daughters graduated from Mari’s care, I have nothing but positive things to say about Cece’s. I can heartily recommend Mari and her staff to anyone desiring a warm, in-home preschool daycare that teaches children to be self-sufficient, structured, and most importantly, how to be good friends. In addition, Mari’s preschool readied my children for Kindergarten. They were both well-prepared and confident in their skills by the time they started school. And we as parents learned a lot too!
Mari and her staff became an extension of our family. Open communication was consistent through the 6+ years our daughters were at Cece’s. The commitment of Mari and her staff to provide healthy meals, a healthy environment, while building healthy self-esteem in our daughters was way above the norm. We are grateful for the care, dedication and the great start our daughters received at Cece’s Playhouse!

I initially chose CeCe's Playhouse because is was more bright, clean, cheery, and well organized than any other place I had been too.
I also seemed to "connect" with Maria Consuelo Lopez, the primary teacher and owner. It turns out my initial impressions were correct. My two daughters enjoyed many years at CeCe's. I was very impressed by the curriculum. Mari combines good old fashioned values, common sense, and genuine caring with some Montessori learning practices. The food my daughters ate was wonderful and the extra activities provided: art, music, exercise class, and Spanish lessons, gave my girls a well-rounded beginning education. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CeCe's Playhouse to anyone!

We can’t say enough about CeCe’s Playhouse. Maria, Esther and Marichuy are teachers in the true sense of the word; they provide lots of praise and love, and help the kids learn how to socialize and correct their own behaviors. They also make learning FUN—it’s easier to drop your child off in the morning when you know he’s excited to be there!
Sometimes toddler “stuff” (potty training, food issues, discipline) has left my husband and me stumped and looking for answers. Maria has always been willing to spend extra time with us when we’ve asked and has provided great advice.
Recently Maria relocated CeCe’s Playhouse to Shoreline. Even though the previous location was just blocks from our house (we now have a 20 minute commute) the decision to stay with her was a “no brainer.” Our son is happy, loves Maria, Esther and Marichuy (and prefers Maria’s cooking over mine!)
